PROFILE OF AMBASSADOR KHADIJA IDDRISU <\/strong>\u00a0CHIEF DIRECTOR, MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu was commissioned as the High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Zambia with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Malawi on 2nd<\/sup> June 2021.<\/p>\n

Prior to her appointment as High Commissioner, she served as the Acting High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic South Africa.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu is a career Diplomat with three (3) decades of experience and has served in various capacities at a number of Bureaux over the years. These Bureaux include Protocol; Europe; Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation; Estates & General Services; ECOWAS; Legal & Consular, International Organizations and Conferences, and Economic, Trade and Investment.<\/p>\n

She also served as the Deputy Head of Mission\/Alternate Permanent Representative to (FAO, IFAD and WFP) at the Ghana Embassy in Rome, Italy; Trade & Investment Office at the Ghana Embassy, Beijing, China; the Head of Chancery at the Ghana Embassy, Cairo, Egypt.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador served as a Board Member of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority and the Ghana Refugee Board. She also served as a Member of the Beyond the Return Steering Committee, National Trade Facilitation Committee and National Bid Committee that prepared Ghana\u2019s Bid towards the Hosting of Africa Continental Free Trade Area\u2019s (AfCFTA) Secretariat in Ghana.<\/p>\n

A product of the Legon Centre for International Affairs, University of Ghana, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Sociology and has also attended several training programmes in Diplomacy.<\/p>\n

As a member of Ghana\u2019s delegations, she also participated in several international conferences and seminars and has extensive international exposure.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Iddrisu is a founding member and the Vice President of the League of African Ambassadors, a non-Governmental International Diplomatic organisation that pursues holistic diplomatic activities in the interest of Africa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
