After the exchange of pleasantries, the Hon. Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, reiterated the good relations between Ghana and Spain. She also expressed the hope that during the Ambassador\u2019s tenure in office, relations between the two countries would be deepened. The Hon. Minister stated that the Government had ambitious policies, which would inure to the benefit of the country\u2019s teeming youth.<\/p>\n
She then highlighted Government\u2019s policies which aim at achieving the \u201cGhana Beyond Aid\u201d initiative, such as \u201cOne Village, One Dam\u201d, One District, One Factory\u201d, and \u201cPlanting for Food and Jobs\u201d. She expressed the hope that friendly countries such as Spain, would take up the challenge of pushing for their business communities to invest in Ghana.<\/p>\n
H.E. Ambassador Alicia Rico, in response, commended the \u201cGhana Beyond Aid\u201d initiative and ensured Spain\u2019s full support towards achieving its goals. She also expressed confidence in Ghana\u2019s political and economic stability, as well as novel economic reforms, and stated that through the above-mentioned qualities, the Ghana would make so much progress.<\/p>\n
