H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,\u00a0 President of the Republic of Ghana , on Wednesday, 7th\u00a0March 2018 commissioned three new Ambassador Designates at the Flagstaff\u00a0 House in Accra. They were, Ambassador to the State of\u00a0 Japan, H.E. Frank Okyere ,\u00a0 Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Eric Odoi-Anim, and\u00a0 Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Amma Adomaa Twum-Amoah.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, President Akufo-Addo,\u00a0 among other things, charged the newly appointed Ambassadors to distinguish themselves in their new Foreign Service capacities and to nurture the\u00a0 close ties and friendship which Ghana has enjoyed in its engagements with these countries over the years. He further admonished the\u00a0 Ambassadors\u00a0 to build\u00a0 cordial relations with the\u00a0 professional Foreign Service officers they would be working with on their tour of duty.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, H.E. Okyere\u00a0 expressed profound gratitude to the President for the confidence he had\u00a0 reposed in them\u00a0 and further promised to work relentlessly towards the President’s vision of a \u201cGhana Beyond Aid\u201d.<\/p>\n
