Shiting Wang."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0 Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, on Friday, 1<sup>st<\/sup> June 2018, received Open Letters\u00a0 from the Ambassador &#8211; designate of the People&#8217;s Republic of China to Ghana, H.E. Shiting Wang.\u00a0 The Ambassador-designate was accompanied by Mr. Jiang Zhouteng, Counsellor, among other officials.<\/p>\n<p>Hon. Ayorkor Botchwey\u00a0 warmly welcomed H.E. Wang and congratulated him on his appointment to the high office of an Ambassador\u00a0 and urged him to continue the good works of his predecessor in further strengthening the existing bonds of friendship between the two countries.\u00a0 She expressed appreciation for the valuable work done by the immediate past Chinese\u00a0 Ambassador\u00a0 to Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>On his part, Ambassador Wang applauded Ghana as a long time friend of China and stated that the country\u00a0 was the second\u00a0 in Sub-Saharan Africa to have established diplomatic relations with China.
