The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, is participating in the 121st Session of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) Council of Ministers, being held in Brussels, Belgium, from 15\u201316 July 2026.<\/p>\n
Representing the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Hon. Quayson joins Ministers and senior representatives from OACPS Member States to deliberate on key policy and institutional issues aimed at strengthening the Organisation and advancing cooperation among Member States and international partners.<\/p>\n
The 121st Session of the Council of Ministers is expected to focus on key strategic matters concerning the Organisation’s priorities, including the implementation of outcomes of the 11th OACPS Summit of Heads of State and Government, the consolidation of international reforms, the Organisation’s financial sustainability, and the operationalisation of the Samoa Agreement. The Session comes at a pivotal moment for the Organisation, building on the momentum generated by the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, in March 2026.
\nDiscussions will also cover issues of mutual interest to Member States, including sustainable development, trade and investment, peace and security, climate action, and strengthening institutional cooperation within the OACPS framework.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Minister’s participation in the 121st Session of the OACPS Council of Ministers, taking place in Brussels, underscores Ghana’s unwavering commitment to the objectives of the Organisation and to strengthening multilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
Ghana will continue to work closely with fellow Member States and international partners to promote sustainable development, peace and security, inclusive economic growth, and the effective implementation of the Samoa Agreement and the decisions of the 11th OACPS Summit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
