{"id":6847,"date":"2026-09-01T10:04:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T10:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mfa.gov.gh\/?p=6847"},"modified":"2026-09-01T10:10:34","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T10:10:34","slug":"let-us-have-an-honest-introspection-on-the-real-causes-of-conflict-in-africa-samuel-okudzeto-ablakwa-foreign-minister-of-ghana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mfa.gov.gh\/index.php\/let-us-have-an-honest-introspection-on-the-real-causes-of-conflict-in-africa-samuel-okudzeto-ablakwa-foreign-minister-of-ghana\/","title":{"rendered":"LET US HAVE AN HONEST INTROSPECTION ON THE REAL CAUSES OF CONFLICT IN AFRICA \u2013 SAMUEL OKUDZETO ABLAKWA, FOREIGN MINISTER OF GHANA."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ghana\u2019s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Friday 29<sup>th<\/sup> August, 2026, addressed the African Union Executive Council\u2019s 26<sup>th<\/sup> Extraordinary Session on Conflict Resolution and Prevention in Angola, where he called for an honest introspection on the real causes of conflict.<\/p>\n<p>He demanded an immediate end to the normalization of conflict and extremism on the continent, particularly as we are running out of time in creating a new and transformed Africa. He stated that, \u201cthe seats of our continent cannot continue on this tragedy, where we have normalized conflicts, normalized terrorism, violent extremism, and normalized humanitarian crisis.
