{"id":6939,"date":"2026-09-22T12:08:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T12:08:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mfa.gov.gh\/?p=6939"},"modified":"2026-09-22T12:08:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T12:08:12","slug":"honourable-samuel-okudzeto-ablakwa-mp-minister-for-foreign-affairs-holds-fruitful-discussions-with-her-excellency-ambassador-selma-malika-haddadi-deputy-chairperson-of-the-african-union","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mfa.gov.gh\/index.php\/honourable-samuel-okudzeto-ablakwa-mp-minister-for-foreign-affairs-holds-fruitful-discussions-with-her-excellency-ambassador-selma-malika-haddadi-deputy-chairperson-of-the-african-union\/","title":{"rendered":"HONOURABLE SAMUEL OKUDZETO ABLAKWA (MP), MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS HOLDS FRUITFUL DISCUSSIONS WITH HER EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR SELMA MALIKA HADDADI, DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON OF THE AFRICAN UNION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), held a truly forward-looking and substantive meeting, on 20<sup>th<\/sup> September 2026, with Her Excellency Ambassador Selma Malika Haddadi, the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, in the margins of the 81<sup>st<\/sup> Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Their discussions focused on Ghana\u2019s priority areas when President John Mahama assumes the Chair of the AU in 2027 as contained in Ghana\u2019s AU Chairmanship Strategy Document which was commissioned by President Mahama.
