The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on Friday, 19th September, 2025 received the Letters of Credence of ten (10) resident Diplomatic Agents accredited to Ghana by their respective Governments and International Organisation. The Diplomatic Agents who took part in the presentation of credentials ceremony at the Jubilee House were:

Receiving the Letters of Credence from the High Commissioner of Kenya, His Excellency the President recalled the good relations the two countries share which dates back to the first Heads of State. He indicated the need to increase trade volumes between Ghana and Kenya under the framework of AfCFTA and called for cooperation in the area of tourism. The High Commissioner on his part, assured of his commitment to work closely with Ghana to enhance their bilateral relations.
His Excellency the President in his interaction with the Ambassador of Senegal stressed the need for cooperation between the two countries to address challenges in the sub-region and increase trade under AfCFTA for economic benefits. The Ambassador commended Ghana’s dedication for peace and democracy and indicated his country’s readiness to benchmark Ghana in sectors of priority to Senegal.
In his interaction with the Ambassador of Germany, the President of the Republic of Ghana recounted the enhanced relations between the two countries and acknowledged the cooperation of Ghana and Germany at multilateral level. The Ambassador recalled the years of economic cooperation between the two countries, German businesses in Ghana, labour mobility arrangements and called for deepened cooperation.
In a meeting with the Ambassador of Sudan, His Excellency the President recalled the historical relations between the two countries and the dedicated role played by Ghana in peacekeeping in Sudan. The Ambassador gave an account of improvement in the situation in Sudan and mentioned his country’s readiness to enhance relations within the framework of Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation in the areas of agriculture, education and mining.
The President of the Republic of Ghana in his engagement with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark stated that the two countries believe in good governance. He highlighted Denmark’s cooperation with Ghana in maritime, rural development and further mentioned that around 60 Danish companies were in Ghana. He assured of Ghana’s commitment to continuously create conducive environment to attract more investment. Responding, the Ambassador said that Denmark believes in sustainable future and therefore, ready to share its expertise in the area of sustainable environment, water and renewable energy.
The discussion between the President of the Republic of Ghana and the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland focused on measures put in place by Government to improve economic growth such as fiscal discipline, shift to trade and investment. The High Commissioner underscored the strong relations between the two countries and encouraged enhanced cooperation in education, sports and people to people engagement.
Recalling the good relations between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Ghana, His Excellency the Presidency called for investment from Pakistan. The High Commissioner assured of enhancement in the economic and investment cooperation between the two countries during his tour of duty.
In a meeting with the Representative of the European Union (EU) Delegation, His Excellency the President referred to their close partnership, development projects and acknowledged EU’s Gateway Programme. The Representative indicated his commitment to further enhance the relations.
The President recalled co-Chairing the SDG Committee with Norway and informed that Ghana benchmarked Norway for its petroleum revenue management and further disclosed of doing same for the establishment of Sovereign Wealth Fund. The Ambassador assured of Norway’s commitment to cooperate with Ghana.
In an engagement with the Ambassador of Egypt, the President encouraged the promotion of closer collaboration between the private sectors of the two countries and called for investment in the agricultural sector. The Ambassador informed that Egypt was ready to share its experiences with Ghana.
The President of the Republic of Ghana wished all the Envoys success in their tours of duty.
