During a bilateral engagement, His Excellency Maxim Ryzhenkov acknowledged that relations between Ghana and Belarus were not yet well developed but highlighted several opportunities for collaboration that could bring mutual benefit.
He recalled the visit of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to Belarus before his election and extended an invitation to Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) to visit as well. The visit, he noted, would not only allow the Minister to experience the country firsthand but also to identify concrete areas for cooperation.
His Excellency Ryzhenkov suggested that one of the key entry points for partnership could be through agricultural mechanisation. He explained that Belarus was well positioned to support Ghana by providing advanced farming equipment, agricultural services, and training in modern technologies to enhance productivity.
Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa expressed appreciation for the invitation and acknowledged Belarus’ technological advancement in the agricultural sector, remarking that Belarus could indeed serve as a key partner in unlocking greater efficiency and advancement in Ghana’s agriculture.
