The outgoing High Commissioner of New Zealand, His Excellency Michael Ian Upton called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) to officially inform about the completion of his tour of duty. The Minister commended the High Commissioner for his efforts in advancing Ghana–New Zealand relations and expressed the need to deepen ties in trade, agriculture and education.
His Excellency Michael Ian Upton also highlighted New Zealand’s efforts in combating maternal mortality, among others. The Minister and the High Commissioner stressed the need to further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.
