The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) held a meeting with the Country Manager of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Ms. Eyerusalem Fasika on Thursday, 6th November 2025. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss ongoing and prospective areas of cooperation between Ghana and AfDB, particularly in sectors critical to national development such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, agro-processing and education.
Ms. Fasika reaffirmed AfDB’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s development agenda through sustainable and inclusive projects that contribute to economic transformation and social progress.
Honourable Ablakwa acknowledged the significant contribution of AfDB towards Ghana’s development efforts and underscored the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships to advance the country’s national priorities. He further reaffirmed Ghana’s readiness to facilitate deeper engagement with AfDB to achieve shared development objectives.
Both sides expressed their commitment to sustaining the strong partnership between Ghana and AfDB to promote inclusive growth and improve livelihoods.
