The Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto called on the Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu on Wednesday, 24th December 2025.
During the meeting, both sides acknowledged the long-standing cordial relations between Ghana and Japan and also explored avenues to further strengthen the relations.
Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu commended the Government of Japan for its continued support to Ghana in areas including human resource development, technology and health. She indicated the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with the Japanese Mission and relevant stakeholders to deepen the cooperation.
Focusing on trade and investment, the Ambassador informed of an upcoming visit to Ghana by Japanese officials and private sector delegations for business meetings with their Ghanaian counterparts.
Both sides expressed optimism about the future of Ghana–Japan relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
