COMMISSIONING OF GHANA’S AMBASSADOR-DESIGNATE TO THE KINGDOM OF SPAIN

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on 17th March, 2026 commissioned the Ambassador-designate of Ghana to the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs. Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe. In line with established practice, the Envoy took the Oaths of Allegiance, Office and Secrecy.

In his remarks, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama urged the Envoy to leverage her experience to further strengthen the longstanding relations between Ghana and Spain. He emphasised the need for results-oriented diplomacy that would deliver tangible benefits to the people of Ghana. The President also urged her to demonstrate fortitude in the discharge of her duties and to work with the Ghanaian community in her jurisdiction to advance Ghana’s interests and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The Ambassador-designate expressed gratitude to the President for the trust and confidence reposed in her and pledged to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to advance the relations between the two countries during her tenure.

Present at the ceremony were the Chief of Staff, Honourable Julius Debrah, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu, Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor, Mr. Ransford Anertey Abbey, Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, and COP Kofi Boakye, Director of Operations at the Presidency and other senior government officials.
