ACTING CHIEF DIRECTOR MEETS AMBASSADOR OF ALGERIA

The Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu held a meeting with the Head of Mission of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, His Excellency Mourad Louhaidia on the need to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries through a structured framework such as Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation (PJCC) to harness the potentials for mutual benefit.

His Excellency Louhaidia reaffirmed the commitment of Algeria to expand cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture and industrial partnerships to support shared national development goals. He indicated the willingness of Algeria to broaden the existing academic exchanges between the two countries to increase the number of beneficiaries.

On her part, Ambassador Iddrisu stated the readiness of Ghana to collaborate in areas which would yield tangible results and contribute to the development of the country. She emphasised that PJCCs provides that needed platform.

Both sides agreed to work towards convening the next session of PJCC and renewed commitment to deepen cooperation.
