ACTING DIRECTOR OF LECIAD PAYS COURTESY CALL ON MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS

The Acting Director of the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), Professor Peter Quartey paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) on Friday, 24th October, 2025.

The interaction between the two focused on strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and LECIAD in the areas of training and research. The importance of building strong linkages between the Foreign Service and the academic institution to enhance the capacity of officers to promote evidence-based policymaking was emphasised.

The Honourable Minister commended LECIAD for its continuous contribution to Ghana’s diplomatic training and policy development and further reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to exploring joint initiatives that would strengthen institutional cooperation.

The Acting Director was accompanied by the Resident Ambassador, His Excellency Kwabena Baah-Duodu, Professor Daniel Kipo-Sunyehzi and the Senior Assistant Registrar and Administrator, Ms. Eccles Andoh.
