On Wednesday, 5th November 2025, the Ambassador of Hungary, His Excellency Tamás Endre Fehér, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable James Gyakye Quayson (MP). The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Ghana and Hungary, particularly in the areas of education, health, and water and sanitation.
Honourable Quayson commended the cordial relations between the two countries and lauded Hungary’s continued support in the areas of education, health, water and sanitation. He stated that the Hungarian Government’s scholarship programme, available to Ghanaian students, contributes to human capital development. He also affirmed Ghana’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Hungary in line with the country’s industrialisation and skills development agenda.
On his part, Ambassador Fehér highlighted the steady growth of Ghana–Hungary relations since the reopening of the Hungarian Embassy in Accra in 2015 and cited some developmental projects undertaken by Hungary.
Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between Ghana and Hungary.
