Director of Business Development Services of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Dr. Johnson Opoku Boateng has presented Ghana as the destination of choice for doing business in Africa.
He stated that the changing business and investment climate in Ghana today should put it ahead of the continent.
Dr. Johnson Opoku Boateng touted some of the country’s achievements including tremendous natural resource deposits, strong and effective investment policies and a well structured regulatory regime for all essential sectors of the economy.
He was optimistic the fore mentioned as well as efforts to ensure international standards, makes Ghana the best bet for potential Japanese investors looking for avenues to build business partnerships in Africa.
Dr. Johnson Opoku Boateng was speaking at a discussion session with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) on the margins of the 7th Ministerial Meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), ahead of Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey’s arrival in Tokyo.
It is themed “Leveraging Africa’s Business Opportunities: A Call for the Japanese Business Sector”.
Business representatives across the African continent took turns to promote their countries at the discussion session.
