DEPUTY MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS RECEIVES EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF NATIONAL PEACE COUNCIL

On Tuesday, 27th January, 2026 the Executive Secretary of the National Peace Council, Dr. George Amoh called on the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable James Gyakye Quayson (MP). The focus of their discussion was on strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and the Council for peacebuilding, conflict prevention and promotion of national cohesion.

Honourable Quayson commended the National Peace Council for its continued efforts in promoting national unity and peace at both the community and national levels. He assured of the Ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster social harmony and sustainable peace.

On his part, Dr. Amoh expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its partnership and support, highlighting the importance of sustained dialogue, joint initiatives, and regular consultations to enhance the effectiveness of peacebuilding programmes.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen partnerships, enhance public awareness of ongoing initiatives and promote culture of peace across the country.
