Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration receives Open Letters from Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Turkey

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey(MP) received Open Letters from the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Ghana, Mrs. Ozlem Gulun Ulueren on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey congratulated Mrs. Ozlem Gulun Ulueren and wished her a successful tenure of office. She stated that Ghana and Turkey have had successful bilateral relations for decades, adding that although economic cooperation between the two countries had gone up, it should be enhanced to make it mutually beneficial.

Furthermore, the Hon. Minister expressed appreciation to the Government of Turkey for various educational scholarships awarded to some Ghanaian students and added that it would help build the human resource base of the country for her industrialization agenda.

For her part, Mrs. Ozlem Gulun Ulueren commended Ghana for her economic advancement. She assured that she would work to enhance bilateral relations as well as economic cooperation in the areas of trade, education, culture and tourism for the mutual benefit of both countries.
