The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) presented Diplomatic Passports to five (5) Ghanaian creatives to enhance their cause in projecting Ghana’s image globally. These individuals are well known in the creative space as Wodemaya, Rocky Dawuni, Anita Erskine, Dentaa and Ibrahim Mahama. The Honourable Minister in presenting the passports acknowledged the efforts made by these individuals through their arts to promote the image of Ghana and urged them to continue to uphold the good name of the country. The Honourable Minister highlighted the relevance of their arts and established its linkage with the upcoming 2025 Diaspora Summit scheduled to be held from 19th to 20th December, 2025 in Accra, Ghana.
In her brief remarks, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Honourable Abla Dzifa Gomashie recounted the accomplishments of these individuals over the years and applauded them for their consistency and determination in promoting Ghana.
On behalf of the other creatives who were granted Diplomatic Passports during the event, Anita Erskine expressed her delight for the gesture and pledged to continue to represent Ghana with pride on the world stage.
Present at the event were the Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khadija Iddrisu and other Directors of the Ministry.
