On Tuesday, 28th October, 2025, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), met with the Chief Executive Officer of the International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM), Mr. Nishant Lalwani, on the margins of the 2025 Paris Peace Forum. Their discussions focused on the upcoming High-Level International Conference on Information Integrity and Independent Media and Ghana’s role in supporting global efforts to promote free, independent, and reliable information.
The Honourable Minister underscored Ghana’s commitment to media freedom and the protection of public interest journalism, noting that it aligns with Ghana’s longstanding advocacy for transparent and accountable governance.
Mr. Lalwani on his part, commended Ghana’s leadership in advancing information integrity and expressed IFPIM’s readiness to deepen collaboration with Ghana to strengthen resilience of independent media.
