A symbolic walk for peace and unity was undertaken today, 18th October, 2025 to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations.
The event brought together officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Members of the Diplomatic Corps and other stakeholders.
The Resident Coordinator, His Excellency Zia Choudhury commended Ghana for its commitment to multilateralism in his remarks.
The Director of Multilateral Relations Bureau, Mrs. Akosua Okyere-Baado highlighted the partnership between Ghana and the United Nations and also lauded the organisation for its continuous support.
