PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO COMMISSIONS THREE AMBASSADORS

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, 7th August, 2024, commissioned three (3) Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are Major General Charles Kodjo Abede Asomaning Awity, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Peprah Ampratwum, Ambassador in-Situ (Chief of Protocol), and H.E. Mr. Fawaz Aliu Ambassador-at-Large.

 

President Akufo-Addo was hopeful the newly commissioned Ambassadors will discharge their duties in a manner that promotes the interest of Ghana. He impressed on them to attract investments and become strong advocates for Ghana on the international front while laying the foundation to ensure partnerships for Ghana to benefit from in years to come.

 

Major General Charles Kodjo Abede Asomaning Awity on behalf of the newly commissioned Ambassadors expressed their appreciation to the President for the confidence reposed in them and assured that they would explore opportunities available at the international front to project Ghana by promoting the country’s rich culture and tourism which have a lot of potentials.

 

Present at the ceremony were the Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong and the Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Amb. Ramses Joseph Cleland and other Senior Government Officials. Also present were Officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the clergy as well as families and friends of the newly commissioned envoys.
