TUNISIA TO ENHANCE TRADE AND INVESTMENT WITH GHANA

Tunisia would work to have direct flights to Ghana to help boost trade and investment between the two countries.

The Tunisia Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Mr. Jalel Trabelsi, made this known when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey(MP) on Friday 15th March 2019.

Ambassador Trabelsi, called for further cooperation and assured that he would work to encourage business partnership between companies from the two countries for their mutual benefit.

Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey was optimistic that the Memoranda of Understanding on Political Consultations, General Cooperation Agreement and the Permanent Joint Commission on Cooperation(PJCC) Agreement, which were signed during her visit to Tunisia would help build a stronger partnership for development between the two countries.

She also added that her visit to Tunisia, which was the first visit by a Foreign Minister from Ghana in more than 40 years had helped to further strengthen relations between the two countries.

The Minister expressed appreciation for the partnership programmes in the areas of agriculture, Information Communication Technology (ICT) and education scholarships.
