VISIT TO NAMOO BORDER BY MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS

During the visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) to the Upper East Region for the commissioning of the Bolgatanga Passport Application Centre, he visited the Namoo Border Post at the invitation of the Regional Minister, Honourable Donatus Akamugri Atanga.

The Minister was apprised of the situation at the border during his interaction with the personnel assigned to the post. He commended them for the diligence in the discharge of their duties to ensure the territorial integrity of the country and protection of the citizens. They were assured that the Government was working assiduously to enhance the conditions at the post.

He also took the opportunity to engage with the Traditional Leaders and the people of the community. The interaction provided a platform for the residents to share their concerns with the Minister, who in turn informed them of the Government’s vision of equitable development across all the Regions in Ghana.
