His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Ghana on Friday, November 2, 2018, for a five-day state visit.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and other government officials met Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo received Prince Charles and his wife at the Jubilee House where they held bilateral talks. President Akufo-Addo indicated that the visit by Prince Charles and his wife underscores the importance of the bilateral relations between Ghana and the United Kingdom.
A Photo Exhibition of the visit of Prince Charles to Ghana in 1977 was mounted in his honour. Prince Charles and President Akufo-Addo also attended a ceremony at the Christianborg War Cemetery (War Cemetery) to honour the fallen heroes of the first and second World War.
