The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on Friday, 17th October, 2025 held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Grenada, Honourable Dickon Mitchell who was on an Official Visit to Ghana to strengthen the growing relations between the two countries. His visit followed the maiden session of Political Consultations between Ghana and Grenada where experts deliberated on possible areas for cooperation between the two countries for mutual benefit.
The discussions between His Excellency the President and the Prime Minister focused on areas such as health, trade, education, visa waiver, labour mobility among others and culminated in the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Ghana and the Government of Grenada for the Recruitment of Ghanaian Nurses for the State of Grenada. The MoU was signed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) and his Grenadian counterpart, Honourable Joseph Andall.
The signing of the MoU aimed at boosting cooperation in the area of health, reinforces the commitment of Ghana and Grenada to pursue policies which inure to the benefit of the citizenry.
