On Monday, 13th April 2026 His Excellency Jean Matho Dore, the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) to formally announce the completion of his tour of duty in Ghana.
Honourable Ablakwa commended Ambassador Dore for contributing his quota in further strengthening the bond of friendship between Ghana and Guinea which is anchored in Pan-Africanism. He recalled the cordial relations between the first Presidents of the two countries, His Excellency Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and His Excellency Ahmed Sékou Touré and emphasised the determination of Ghana to keep the bond by undertaking projects to serve us remembrances.
His Excellency Dore expressed gratitude for the reception extended to him during his tour of duty by the Government and People of Ghana. He highlighted the steps being taken by his government towards development under the Simandou 2040 programme and stated the interest of Guinea in collaborating with Ghana in the areas of education and agriculture. He noted that during his tenure, there was an increase in the exchanges between the private sectors of the two countries. He said that Guinea would continue to build on its relations with Ghana to lift it to a higher pedestal.
