The Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Ghana, His Excellency Most Rev. Jean-Marie Speich has paid a farewell call on His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday 29th April 2019, after his five-and-half year tour of duty in Ghana.

He also commended Most Rev. Jean-Marie Speich for working to further deepen the relations between Ghana and the Holy See, and added that high profile between the two countries have further strengthened the ties between the two countries.
His Excellency Most Rev. Jean Marie Speich, recalled the good relations between the Republic of Ghana and the Holy See and added that relations has been fruitful. He commended Ghana for her democracy and religious tolerance which has ensured the steady growth of the country. He emphasized that “Ghana is a good example to other countries “and urged other countries to emulate Ghana’s example.
He expressed his appreciation to the government and people of Ghana for the cooperation given to him during his tour of duty which has helped to further deepen the bilateral relations between Ghana and the Holy See.
