The Chief Executive officer of the Northern Development Authority, Alhaji Abdel-Majeed Haroun called on the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Honourable Mohammad Habibu Tijani, on Wednesday, 23rd May, 2018.
After the exchange of pleasantries, the Deputy Minister underscored the importance of the mandate of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), recalling its emergence from the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA). He intimated that development in the Northern Region had been of priority to the Government. He encouraged the NDA to adopt the best practices of SADA whiles learning from its shortfalls. He urged them to collaborate with the other regional development authorities. The Deputy Minister reinforced the need to explore the competitive advantage within the region and assured them of the Ministry’s readiness to assist the Authority.
On his part, the CEO of the NDA, Alhaji Abdel-Majeed Haroun, thanked the Minister for granting him audience and added that they look forward to further future collaboration with the Ministry.
