The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey joined H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to commission the newly refurbished Ghana Embassy located in the prime area of the 16th Arrondissement of Paris on 11th October, 2022. She expressed appreciation to the President for his commitment and support in ensuring that the Paris Mission is well-housed and in the best condition. The Paris Mission was included in the list of Ghana’s Diplomatic Missions to benefit from the Société Générale Bank credit facility acquired to purchase, construct, reconstruct and/or renovate Ghana Missions abroad on the President’s directive.
The Hon. Minister noted that the renovated Embassy will enable the Mission staff to render high-quality consular services and further assured the Ghanaian community of the Ministry’s commitment to their welfare and interests. She also extended appreciation to Ambassador Anna Bossman for her relentless effort that made the successful completion of the project possible.
France is one of the first countries with which Ghana established diplomatic relations immediately following our independence in 1957. The long-standing relations with France have since grown and blossomed into fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation, in many aspects of national development, for the mutual benefit of our people.
