The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in collaboration with other stakeholders organized a peace walk on Saturday, October 20, 2018 to kick start activities to mark the 73rd United Nations Day celebration which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
Participants of the Peace Walk included members of the Diplomatic Corps, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs), the Security Services as well as the Media.
This year’s celebration would be held on the theme “Making the United Nations relevant to all people: Global Leadership and Shared responsibilities for peaceful, equitable and sustainable societies”.
A flag raising ceremony, photo Exhibition and United Nations Model General Assembly would be held to mark the United Nations Day.
