H.E. PRESIDENT NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO COMMISSIONS EIGHT (8) NEW AMBASSADOR DESIGNATES ON 5TH DECEMBER, 2017

The President of the Republic of Ghana H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo commissioned eight (8) Ambassador Designates on 5th December, 2017, at the Flagstaff House in Accra.

 

The President, among other things, reminded the envoys of their threefold role: diplomatic, ceremonial and administrative. He further charged them to safeguard, promote and project Ghana’s image in their respective host countries. He further encouraged them to work closely with their staff in actualising their set targets. The President reminded the envoys that they were the chief promoters of Ghana’s commercial interests to the respective countries to which they were being posted.

He also stated that the Government was committed to the rapid development and transformation of Ghana’s industrial and agricultural sectors. He therefore called on the envoys to assist in this important endeavour.

 

The newly commissioned envoys were as follows: H.E. Mr. Francis Abakah, High Commissioner to the Republic of Sierra Leone; H.E. Mr. Ernest-Burke Asare-Asiedu, Ambassador to the Republic of Liberia; H.E. Mrs. Hannah Ama Nyarko, Ambassador to the State of Israel; H.E. Mr Joseph Kwaku Antwi, Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo; H.E. Mrs Perpetua O. Dufu, Ambassador to the Republic of Angola; H.E. Mr. Sayuti Yahaya Iddi, Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran; H.E. Alhaji Ahmed Rufai Yahaya Iddi, Ambassador to the State of Kuwait; and H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Enos, Ambassador to the State of Qatar.
