H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana , on Wednesday, 7th March 2018 commissioned three new Ambassador Designates at the Flagstaff House in Accra. They were, Ambassador to the State of Japan, H.E. Frank Okyere , Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Eric Odoi-Anim, and Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Amma Adomaa Twum-Amoah.
In his remarks, President Akufo-Addo, among other things, charged the newly appointed Ambassadors to distinguish themselves in their new Foreign Service capacities and to nurture the close ties and friendship which Ghana has enjoyed in its engagements with these countries over the years. He further admonished the Ambassadors to build cordial relations with the professional Foreign Service officers they would be working with on their tour of duty.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, H.E. Okyere expressed profound gratitude to the President for the confidence he had reposed in them and further promised to work relentlessly towards the President’s vision of a “Ghana Beyond Aid”.
