EXCHANGE OF INSTRUMENTS OF RATIFICATION IN RESPECT OF THE AGREEMENT FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION AND PREVENTION OF FISCAL EVASION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA AND THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO

The Republic of Ghana and the Kingdom of Morocco have renewed their commitment to deepen relations through the exchange of instruments of ratification with respect to the Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion at a short ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on 18th October, 2022.

The Republic of Ghana was represented by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong (MP), while The Kingdom of Morocco was represented by the Moroccan Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Imane Ouaadil.

Ambassador Imane Ouaadil, in her remarks, noted that the ceremony signified an important milestone in the trade and economic relations between Ghana and Morocco. She added that the Agreement will pave way for greater collaboration between Ghanaian and Moroccan investors.

On his part, Hon. Ampratwum-Sarpong noted that, Morocco has remained an important partner to Ghana since the country’s independence. He indicated that the cooperation between the two countries cuts across trade, education, and agriculture among others. He further assured of Ghana’s readiness to enhance the already existing good relations with the Kingdom of Morocco through open dialogue and cooperation.
