DELEGATION FROM THE AFRICAN WOMEN LEADERS NETWORK CALL ON FOREIGN MINISTER

A delegation from the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN) made up of its Chairperson     Dr. Charity Binka, members of its Interim Steering Committee, and some officials from the United Nations Women, on Monday, 24th October, 2022, called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey to inform her about the Network’s preparations for the outdooring of the AWLN Ghana Chapter. 

During the meeting, Hon. Ayorkor Botchwey highlighted the importance of promoting gender equality which would contribute to the implementation of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  

Hon. Ayorkor Botchwey encouraged AWLN to engage with Ghana’s Female Parliamentary Caucus and other relevant stakeholders to enable the organisation make significant impact at the continental level. The Minister further pledged her support for the AWLN Ghana Chapter.
